(OPDYKE, IL) — We have a retraction of a story that we aired earlier today on WMIX regarding an early Monday morning accident near Opdyke that reportedly claimed the life of the driver and injured the passenger of the vehicle.  It was brought to our attention by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office that this was a prior accident and was part of an error in information retrieval.  We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience.
