(East St. Louis, IL) — An East St. Louis man will spend over eight years in federal prison after being sentenced for possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. Brandy Anderson pleaded guilty to the federal charges in June and was sentenced Friday. Anderson was arrested last year after he was found sleeping in a car with a loaded handgun and heroin. Anderson admitted to police he had been selling a half ounce of heroin a day for nearly a year.
