(MARION, IL) — Authorities arrested 25 year old Callie Buchanan, Jr., of Johnston City for Robbery at Circle K in the 1300 block of N Carbon St with additional charges of Fleeing/Eluding Police and Endangering the Health/Life of a Child following a brief pursuit on December 20, 2016.  At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 the Marion Police Department received a 911 call of a reported armed robbery in progress at Circle K Gas Station/Convenience Store located on N. Carbon St in Marion.  A suspect vehicle was identified and located a short time later.   A brief vehicle pursuit occurred and ended in the Johnston City area.  The suspect, later identified as Buchanan, fled the vehicle on foot and was immediately apprehended and taken into police custody.  An infant child was discovered inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.  At this time, no additional information is available as this is an open investigation.
