(Springfield, IL)  —  Governor Rauner is touting new legislation that extends unemployment insurance benefits for two-thousand workers laid off from the Granite City Steel Mill.  The governor yesterday signed the bill, which provides the employees an additional 26 weeks of coverage.  The measure goes into effect immediately.
