(BENTON, IL) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested a McLeansboro man following a report of a domestic disturbance in Thompsonville late Wednesday night. Sheriff Don Jones says 30-year-old Travis W. Braden was found hiding in the home around 11:40 p.m. Braden was wanted as a fugitive as a parole violator and was wanted for failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine. He has also been charged for obstructing justice. Jones says the investigation continues and further charges are anticipated. Braden was also wanted in connection with a crash in West Frankfort on Nov. 30 that injured two people at the intersection of West Cleveland and South Logan Streets after stealing a car from McLeansboro earlier that day. He fled the scene on foot following the accident. Braden faces charges of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude police, reckless driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding in that case.
