(Carbonadale, IL)  —  Sorry Marion, Carbondale’s mayor says his city should be the cultural hub for southern Illinois.  Mayor Mike Henry told city planners he wants to be more than the home of Southern Illinois University.  Henry wants Carbondale to become the driving factor for the whole region, including developing new lifestyle programs.  Henry isn’t saying how much his push may cost.
