(Benton, IL)  —  A Franklin County judge is granting a woman an order of protection against a Republican lawyer running for Williamson County State’s Attorney.  WSIL TV reports the woman accuses Duane Verity of sexually assaulting her earlier this month.  Verity isn’t allowed to contact the woman or be within 500 feet of her.  State police are investigating the allegations.
