(BENTON, IL) — A Benton man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after Benton Police responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment in the 1400 block of North Della Street around 5:30 Saturday morning. Police say the victim, who has since been released from the hospital, reported he was stabbed in the hand by a roommate during a disagreement over ownership of personal property. Through further investigation, police located and arrested 36-year-old Tommy J. Burton. He was then charged and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
