(MT. VERNON, IL) — Mt. Vernon City Council met Monday evening at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building.  Included on the agenda, An approval of an ordinance establishing water and sewer rates and implementing a capital improvement fee of $10 dedicated to public utility capital improvements, a resolution was approved for a conditional sign permit for Summersville Grade School, a resolution was approved adopting the Jefferson County multi-hazard mitigation plan, and approved a resolution closing portions of 9th Street, Casey Avenue, and Jordan Street for Fall Fest from September 29th through October 2nd.
