(SPRINGFIELD, IL) — The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorists traveling I-64 Westbound in White County of a lane closure. Beginning Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 7:00 A.M., the westbound driving lane will be closed at milepost 130 near Grayville, IL. This lane closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a drainage structure and repair of the shoulder. The lane is expected to be open by 3:30 P.M. on Friday, September 16, 2016. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra commuting time or to travel alternate routes. Message boards and signs will be in place to alert traffic of the closure. Please slow down and use extreme caution while traveling through all work zones.
