(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council is set to meet this evening at 7 p.m.  Among items on the agenda, the Council will request permission to seek proposals for website design and the City Manager will request street closure permission for South 7th Street from Broadway to Jordan Street every Friday between May 27th and September 23rd for upcoming Friday Food & Art at Broadway Market events and for South 9th Street between Jordan Street and Casey Avenue on July 16th from 7 a.m. to midnight for a charity event sponsored by ABATE. The City Attorney will seek a resolution granting a conditional sign permit for Electronic Architechs for a sign to be located at 2417 Broadway as well as a resolution approving an agreement with IDOT for appropriation of motor fuel tax funds for maintenance of streets and highways.  The meeting will be held at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building.
