(BENTON, IL) — Charges were filed against a Franklin County couple Monday for making meth with a child present. Franklin County State’s Attorney Evan Owens says 30-year-old Christina Jones and 35-year-old Richard Peterson – both of Royalton – allegedly committed offenses of aggravated participation in the manufacturing of more than 300 grams of methamphetamine in a structure where a child was present and unlawful possession of between 100 to 400 grams of methamphetamine, both Class X felonies. Owens added that the couple faces charges that allege methamphetamine child endangerment and unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors, both Class 2 felonies.
