Jefferson Co., IL– They’ve got a bad rap as one of the most aggressive dog breeds and they’re the only breed you’re not allowed to adopt from the Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter, but that could be changing. At last night’s county board meeting a proposal was raised for the full board to consider allowing the adoption of Pit Bulls. Board Chairman Robert White says he’d really like the board and the public to think about and discuss the pros and cons of the change, so a 30 day public comment period was put into place. He says if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, to please let him or another member know. The board is expected to take a vote at next month’s meeting.
