(East St. Louis, IL) — A health clinic in East St. Louis has been awarded one-million-dollars. Thanks to the hefty federal grant, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will soon be expanding services at the WeCare Clinic on the school’s East St. Louis campus. The money will be used for such programs like nursing, pharmacy, dental medicine and social work. Clinic patients will now have access to primary and dental health care, pharmacy consultation and a medical social worker. This all starts on September 1st.
