(MCLEANSBORO, IL) — A West Frankfort man was recently sentenced in Hamilton County Court to three-and-a-half years in prison on a probation violation for attempted procurement of anhydrous ammonia. Hamilton County State’s Attorney Justin Hood says 39-year-old Jeff P. Patton’s original plea was on Sept. 6, 2012. He was violated for a charge of felon in possession of a weapon out of Franklin County. He is in the White County Jail. He originally attempted to steal anhydrous from the George Smith Ag facility in rural Hamilton County on Feb. 25, 2010.
