(SALEM, IL) — Congressman John Shimkus is scheduled to participate in a couple of area events today. He will be holding open office hours in Fairfield today from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Fairfield City Hall to meet with constituents. He then will attend the DAR Centennial Anniversary Celebration at Salem’s Bryan-Bennett Library at 2 p.m. The event marks the 100th anniversary of the Issac Hull Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
