(Alexander County, IL) — A Cairo man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the 2013 murder of his wife. Chauncey Hughes was handed his prison term Wednesday after he pleaded guilty in the shooting death of Heather Davis. A special prosecutor handled the case.
