(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon Fire Department will continue testing fire hydrants this week beginning today, north of Broadway from 12th Street to 19th Street and south of Broadway from 12th Street to 27th Street. Residents are cautioned that testing can cause discoloration in the water supply in the area being tested.
