(East St. Louis, IL)  —  A Belleville man with a long criminal history is headed to prison for robbing a gas station last year.  A federal judge handed down a sentence on Monday to Patrick McGuire of 15 and a half years behind bars.  Prosecutors say the defendant walked into a Circle K gas station in July of 2014  and demanded money with a plastic bag covering a pointed object in his hand.  They say McGuire, who was later arrested, has 14 previous felony convictions and more than 30 misdemeanor convictions.
