(Edwardsville, IL) — The city council in Edwardsville has gone on record in opposition to Governor Rauner’s “turnaround agenda,” voting Monday night against a resolution of support before a packed meeting room. The resolution came from Rauner’s office, which is trying to show that there’s grassroots support for some of his ideas like right-to-work zones and the elimination of prevailing wage agreements. Edwardsville is one of several cities to vote down the resolution of support in recent weeks.
