(St. Clair County, IL) — The name of a man killed when police say he was breaking into a home is out. Police say David Shemonia of New Athens broke into the home on Torrens Lane in southern St. Clair County yesterday, and the homeowner shot him. Shemonia was found dead in the backyard. Police are still investigating but say they don’t expect they’ll file any charges against the homeowner.
